Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal asked the Indian government to call in the army to quell violence in the city.At least 17 people, including a policeman, have lost their lives since riots broke out in the city over a newly-introduced but fractious citizenship law.

देश की राजधानी दिल्ली में हुई हिंसा में 18 लोगों की मौत और 200 से ज्यादा लोग घायल बताए जा रहे है, हालांकि बुधवार सुबह से हालात धीरे-धीरे सामान्य होने लगे थे, इसी बीच मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने बुधवार को कहा कि सेना को बुलाकर दिल्ली के प्रभावित इलाकों में कर्फ्यू लगाया जाना चाहिए, साथ ही उन्होंने कहा कि मैं इस सिलसिले में गृहमंत्री अमित शाह को पत्र भी लिख रहा हूं।
