'Ghost' ship washed ashore by Storm Dennis in Ireland

An abandoned cargo vessel's lonely trip across the Atlantic came to an abrupt end after Storm Dennis pushed it onto the rocky shore near Ballycotton, County Cork. Footage shows the rusty yet intact MV Alta 'ghost' ship on the shore as skies cleared after Storm Dennis moved on. The MV Alta was abandoned by its ten-strong crew after they could not repair the disabled vessel south-east of Bermuda in September 2018 and had been floating between Africa, the Americas and Europe ever since.
