The Sumatra Orangutan Conservation Program released one two-year-old Orangutan individual to the Janto Forest Nature Reserve, Indonesia on February 14.

The orangutan, named Cut Keke, was considered to be very healthy and wild, Cut Keke was confiscated from East Aceh residents several years ago.

Due to malnutrition and stress, the animal was confiscated.

After being rehabilitated for some time, Cut Keke was ready to be returned to the forest.

The release of this Orangutan aims to build a new population by living independently and able to breed and be able to survive long in the forest, but also for a better environmental ecosystem in Aceh.
