Rihanna's Savage X Fenty
Accused of Deceptive Marketing The lingerie line has been flagged by
non-profit Transparency in Advertising
for misleading customers to sign up
for a subscription service. The organization filed complaints with the
Federal Trade Commission and the California
District Attorney's office for Santa Cruz County. The complaints claim the company
violated FTC laws by promoting
misleading discounts and product prices. The non-profit took action after
receiving complaints from customers
who discovered they were being charged
$49.95 a month after making a purchase. TINA spokesperson Shana Mueller, via CNN Savage X Fenty spokesperson Emma Tully
has responded saying the accusations are
“false and based on misconceptions of our business.”
