The Supreme Court has got a big relief from the Supreme Court on the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Amendment Act 2018 (SC / ST Act) A three-member bench of the Supreme Court has dismissed the petitions challenging the validity of the SC / ST Act. The court made it clear that under this law, primary investigation is not required before arrest. No is there any need to get permission from any authority. After getting the complaint, an FIR will be registered and arrest will be made.

अनुसूचित जातिए एवं अनुसूचित जनजाति संशोधन कानून 2018 यानी SC/ST Act पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट से केंद्र सरकार को बड़ी राहत मिली है. सुप्रीम कोर्ट का तीन सदस्यीय बेंच ने SC/ST Act की वैद्यता को चुनौती देने वाली याचिकाओं को खारिज कर दिया है. कोर्ट ने साफ किया कि इस कानून के तहत गिरफ्तारी से पहले प्राथमिक जांच की जरूरत नहीं है. और ना ही किसी अथॉरिटी की अनुमति लेने की जरूरत है. शिकायत मिलने के बाद तुरंत एफआईआर दर्ज होगी और गिरफ्तारी होगी.
