Shoaib Akhtar has blamed the Indian bowling attack for their display against New Zealand. Akhtar said, “No one had an answer to Taylor’s innings. I don’t understand how you can let the game slip from reducing the opposition to 7-8 down. I’m repeatedly saying India are missing a strike bowler. Chahal came in place of Kuldeep, he did well but they lacked someone who could put his hand up when they needed wickets.”

ऑकलैंड वनडे में भारतीय टीम को न्यूजीलैंड ने 22 रनों से हरा दिया। शर्मनाक हार के साथ ही भारत ने वनडे सीरीज भी गंवा दी है. तीन मैचों की वनडे सीरीज में न्यूजीलैंड की टीम 2-0 से अब आगे है. इस मैच में भारत के गेंदबाजों ने निराश किया। बीच के ओवरों में विकेट जरूर निकाले। लेकिन, आखिरी के पांच ओवरों में टीम ने 53 रन लुटा दिए. मुख्य गेंदबाज जसप्रीत बुमराह की भी खूब पिटाई हुई. गेंदबाजों के खराब प्रदर्शन के बाद पाकिस्तान के पूर्व खिलाड़ी शोएब अख्तर ने आलोचना की है.
