Showmen in Indonesia show off gruesome 'weapon immunity' skills

Local showmen from northwest Indonesia performed an amazing but gruesome talent of 'weapon immunity', where they were able to use sharp weapons on their own bodies but remain unharmed.

The talent was shown at an event in Simeulue island, Aceh Province on February 5.

Music plays as knives, machetes, and electric drills are all sliced over the bodies of the performers but leave no marks on their bodies.

This tradition is called 'Debus', and is performed by the Acehnese people when they shortly welcome guests who come to an area in Aceh.

The performers claim that their immunity come from adherence to strict practices such as not leaving worship, always being kind, and continuing to be humble.
