Macau casinos will close for at least two weeks after hotel worker found with coronavirus infection

Casinos will close for 15 days in Macau to contain the spread of the deadly coronavirus after a hotel worker was locally infected. The city’s leader said on February 4, 2020, that the shutdown order would begin at midnight and will apply to 18 types of premises including bars, cinemas and massage parlours, as well as the casinos which are the lifeblood of Macau’s economy.
