Heavy snowfall doesn't stop excited groom who braves winter blockades to reach bride in north India

Despite heavy snowfall closing roads, an excited groom chose to walk for 8 kilometres to reach the bride's house in north Indian state of Uttarakhand.

The incident took place on January 29 in a small village of Pana located in the state’s Chamoli district.

Visuals show the groom holding an umbrella and riding a horse in the wedding procession amidst the whiteout.

The group following the groom was seen beating drums and playing with snow, creating a celebratory atmosphere.

Footage also shows the blushing bride riding a horse to meet the wedding procession midway.

Later the couple was seen walking towards the reception on the snow-covered roads.
