Hello, what are the cold hard truths about affiliate marketing? I've been into affiliate marketing for around 10 years. I've made some good money and I've had lots of failures.
I originally got into affiliate marketing as a way to make some side income. To me affiliate marketing is one of the best way to make extra cash around what your currently doing.
Relying on a job to take care of you, I feel is very risky. I've been laid off, fired and have a company go bankrupt working for them.
It's good to hedge your bets, so to speak. This is the same thing with Affiliate marketing. I was around when Google changed their algorithm and my business took a major dive.
Google used to look at Backlinks to determine which site got ranked in the Search. So, I did what they wanted and then it changed. Now, backlinks hurt your rankings.
The same thing happened with Instagram Influencers when Instagram changed things. The internet will always continue to change and evolve.
This is why I recommend getting traffic from a wide range of sources and not just relying on one. Also, I don't rely on just affiliate marketing to pay my bills I do other work as well. Some months, I have made really good money and some months not good at all.

Also, I'm a believer in getting someone off the internet and on to a list. Then use the list to promote a wide range of products.
One cold hard truth is that the software to build the list and funnels can really add up if your not careful. The tools in general can really add up.
This is the same with any business you want to keep your costs down as much as possible, this is how you make money.
During the gold rush the people who made the most money I think, where the ones selling the shovels and equipment to the positive people looking for gold.
The reason it's a good idea to have a list is because this is the easiest way to market anything online. This is the same reason gold digging women marry guys because it's easy to find one and keep getting money from him rather than hitting up new guys constantly right?
The first time someone buys from you this is the hardest because they don't know you and trust you. After someone has purchased from you everything else is much easier.
