An amateur arcade artist from Los Angeles has created a game similar to skee ball using 114 unique tulip inspired tiles.

Filmed on January 23, the footage shows the game being played on the ornate device.

Ben Blatt, 29, has been creating arcade games for the past year but is alredy up and running, showcasing his talents online.

The tulip theme was inspired by "Tulip Mania" in the Dutch Golden Age of the 17th century where prices of tulip bulbs were very high but eventually, the market crashed.

The creator told Newsflare: "I am an amateur arcade artist.

"I make tactile arcade games - think skeeball - from scratch from a hobby.

"This one is called Tulip Mania and is made from 114 uniquely fabricated Delft tiles, no two of which are the same.

"The goal is to drive the price of tulip bulbs as high as possible."

They explained online: "Each individual component of the game is fairly straightforward - a handful of stepper motors, one stepper motor with a lead screw, seven IR sensors, and a button.

"So far it has been played over 400 times and hasn't needed too much repair since after the first week of playtesting."
