The state governments of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal along the Indo-Nepal border have deployed medical teams at various entry points as precautionary measure against coronavirus. All the districts sharing borders with Nepal are on alert. Coronaviruses (nCoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). A novel coronavirus is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans. Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. While speaking to ANI, Dr Arif Khan said, “Earlier also, coronavirus was involved in the human infections and diseases like common cold, cough, mild fever are found in human body. Coronavirus has not been reported in humans yet which is deadly. Person suffering from diabetes, cancer they are more affected by such problems.” “1-2 cases have been reported in Nepal and those patients are in observation. If coronavirus will spread in Nepal much then it is a warning bell for all of us,” he added.
