China coronavirus: big-city Wuhan in lockdown with travel ban meant to stop spread

Officials in the central Chinese city of Wuhan have imposed a complete travel ban on people entering or leaving amid a coronavirus outbreak linked to a seafood and meat market there. The ban took effect on the morning of January 23, 2020, and there was a rush of people trying to leave the city of over 11 million before the restrictions went into effect.
