A teacher passing through Greenacres in Florida managed to rescue an iguana frozen in the middle of a parking lot.

Filmed on January 22, Brenden Rubenstein finds the stranded lizard, picks it up and places it on the side of the parking lot where it can safely recover.

Rubenstein told Newsflare: "On my way to teach this morning, saved this little guy from being squashed in the parking lot!"

According to local reports, Iguanas have been falling from trees across Florida after temperatures dropped into the low 30s (Fahrenheit) across the state.
