Karnataka batsman Karun Nair became only the second Indian cricketer to score a triple-century in Test cricket when he scored an unbeaten 303 against England in Chennai in 2016. He is also only the Test batsman in the history of the game to convert debut hundred into a triple ton. However, fate took a harsh turn for him as he failed to cement his position in the Indian team after scoring only 71 runs in his next five Test matches. After his last Test against Australia in Dharamshala in 2017, the national selectors have not paid much attention to the right-hander.
