with a performance of a verse from
“The Sweetest Sounds” on Jan. 14. The song was originally performed in the
1962 musical, 'No Strings,' by Diahann Carroll
and Richard Kiley. It was also performed in the 1997 TV adaptation
of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s 'Cinderella' by
Brandy Norwood and Paolo Montalban. Grande won the first Grammy of her career
last year, but she did not attend the ceremony due to a disagreement over a performance of “7 Rings.” Grande is nominated for five awards at the
62nd annual Grammy Awards, which will
take place on Jan. 26.
