One Pot Chicken Recipe-Chicken Handi-kadhai gravy- -Easy to make Handi chicken-

Chicken handi is a traditional chicken dish made in a special utensil called handi or kadai.It is a very popular dish in an Indian cuisine .Handi or kadhai is mostly used for every Indian cooking in India.In olden days this recipe was made in clay pots but you can made this dish easily at home in your regular deep bottom pan/kadai/handi.Chicken Handi gravy consist of onion,yogurt,tomatoes,spices and cashew nuts powder/paste.Chicken is well sauteed initially and then other ingredients are added.Chicken Handi tastes good with butter naan or lachha paratha.It sounds like too much of preparation but today, I will share my very quick and easy one pot recipe of Handi Chicken which you can make in one pot itself, so it can be called as one pot chicken handi /kadai recipe.Now no worries for washing so many utensils.Twist is to add papaya paste which helps in making it tender/cooked more quickly.Make it on any party occasions when guest are on a very short notice as no much work is required.So lets start making this very quick and easy one pot chicken handi reciep.If you like my recipe then please don't forget to like,comment,share and subscribe my channel chop n chill...lets start

Ingredients for the recipe are as follows:
-500 gm chicken cubes with bones or boneless your
-1/2 cup + 2 tbsp oil
-1 medium finely chopped onion/pyaaz
-3 medium size tomatoes finely sliced/tamatar
-2 bay leaves/tez patta
-3 whole red chilies/sabit laal mirch
-2 Heaped tbsp of ginger and garlic paste (adrak lehsun)
-1 tsp papaya paste/papite ka paste
-1/2 tsp turmeric powder/haldi
-1 tsp salt or as per taste
-1 tsp red chili powder/ laal mirch or as per taste
-2 tsp coriander powder/ dhaniya
-1 tsp garam masala powder (prefer homemade)
-1/2 black pepper powder/kali mirch
-1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds powder/zeera powder
-1/2 tsp kashmiri red chili powder
-1 cup whisked curd/dahi
-1/4 cup of fresh cream
-pinch of mace powder/javitri powder
-3 green slit green chilies
-Handful of chopped coriander/hara dhaniya
For garnishing :
-some slit green chilies/hari mirch
-some chopped green coriander/hara dhaniya
-some onion rings
Notes: Use non stick pan or kadhai to avoid sticking and always use proper measuring spoons and cups for proper and perfect measurement.
