Makar Sankranti or the well known “Kite Festival” is all set to be celebrated on January 15. It is dedicated to Sun God who is responsible for your success and prosperity. It is celebrated with great passion and happiness across northern India, including states like Delhi, Haryana, Bihar, and Jharkhand. Delicacies that are included which people enjoy during this time are- ladoo made up of til (sesame seeds) and gud (jaggery). Makar Sankranti in Gujarat is also celebrated as Uttarayan with a lot of enthusiasm and people compete in kite-flying competitions.
