Vietnamese artists make 'paintings' out of jars full of layered sand
  • 4 years ago
People in Vietnam were seen creating pictures out of glass jars of sand at a sand painting facility in Phan Thiet City.

The interesting project uses natural sand stained into different colours then layered in the jars to shape the various images that appear on the outside.

Creating a sand picture takes a lot of time, depending mostly on the size. Each picture in the smaller jars depicted takes 2 to 3 hours to complete, while there are big pictures that can take days to complete.

Visitors can also ask the artisans to make paintings on demand, providing the images they want to be rendered in sand.

Each sand picture will cost from $10-20 USD, again depending on size, however some more expensive ones can go from $100-1000 USD.
