This Colorado Bistro Is the World’s First Butter Bar

Lyons, Colorado is home to Bella La Crema, the world's first butter bar. Here, you can sit down with a warm, crusty baguette and four generous samples of compound butter. On the menu you'll find staples like "French Countryside," made with rosemary, garlic, and thyme. For those with a sweet tooth, there's "Hollidays Bourbon," which combines bourbon, fresh orange juice, bacon, molasses, cloves, vanilla, and maple. Owner Shauna Lee Strecker makes more than 20 flavors of butter using organic cream from grass-fed cows. Shauna Lee StreckerOwner If a butter flight doesn't appeal to you, you can also order breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Her French onion soup is so popular that people call ahead to ensure they get some before it runs out. But the butters regularly sell out too, so her gamble on butter has, so far, paid off.
