Kargil people protest against killing of Iran's commander Qassem Soleimani

A protest rally was held against the killing of Iranian major-general Qassem Soleimani in Kargil town of Ladakh. Kargil is dominated by Shia Muslims, Iran's majority community. According to a report, A government employee in Kargil, who did not want to be identified, said around 1,000 people attended the protest, chanting slogans against the United States and Israel. The rally was called by two major Shia organisations in Kargil – the Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust and the Islamia School.
