One of the most talked about seat in the Jharkhand assembly elections is the result of Jharia seat of Dhanbad. Jharia once again saw a thorn in the same family. Purnima Singh of Congress defeated BJP candidate Ragini Singh by more than four thousand votes. Purnima Singh got 44,599 votes while 39,686 votes were cast in favor of BJP candidate Ragini Singh.

झारखंड विधानसभा चुनाव में सबसे चर्चित सीट में से एक धनबाद की झरिया सीट का नतीजा आ गया है। झरिया से एकबार फिर एक ही परिवार में कांटे की टक्कर देखने को मिली। कांग्रेस की पूर्णिमा सिंह ने जेठानी और बीजेपी प्रत्याशी रागिनी सिंह को चार हजार से ज्यादा वोटों से हरा दिया है। पूर्णिमा सिंह को 44,599 वोट मिले, जबकि बीजेपी प्रत्याशी रागिनी सिंह के पक्ष में 39,686 वोट पड़े।
