Baghdad's 'Tahrir Beach' where the revolution takes a break

Close to Baghdad's protest hotspot of Tahrir Square, a sandy Tigris River bank offers relief from the revolution as youths play football and smoke waterpipes to booming hiphop music. It is on this half-kilometre stretch where the post-Saddam generation celebrates its uprising on the beach, escaping the teargas and bullets for a more festive, Club Med-style atmosphere.
