'Borders Kill' banner dropped from Westminster Bridge in remembrance of 39 Essex lorry victims
  • 4 years ago
Activists dropped a banner reading "Borders Kill Remember The Essex 39" and released flares from Westminster Bridge in central London on Wednesday morning (December 18).

Organisers said on Facebook the action is "to remember all who have died under the UK's border regime."

The Essex 39 refers to the 39 Vietnamese migrants who were found dead in the back of a lorry in October.

The banner drop coincides with International Migrants Day.
