Jamia protest was a conspiracy: Delhi Police

While speaking to media in the national capital on December 17, the Additional DCP (South East) of Delhi Police Kumar Gyanesh spoke on Jamia Millia Islamia incident. He said, "I saw it myself and some protesters were carrying wet blankets and putting them on tear gas shells to minimize their impact." "It did not seem to be spontaneous but well planned. Investigation is underway in this matter," he added. "Petrol bombs were also hurled at us by the protesters. These things do not happen on the spot, it shows that it was a conspiracy," he further stated.
