Situation under control in Aligarh, necessary steps will be taken: ADG

Aligarh (UP), Dec 16 (ANI): Ajay Anand, ADG law and order (Agra Zone) in Aligarh stated that the situation is under control and all necessary actions will be taken to maintain law and order.“Our personnel are deployed and the situation is under control. All necessary steps will be taken to maintain law and order,” said Ajay Anand.

Protest raged outside Aligarh Muslim University against Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 in Uttar Pradesh. Protesters pelted stones on police. Police used tear gas to disperse the mob. Protest by students of Jamia Millia Islamia also turned violent in Delhi.
