Large 'sardine' demonstration in Rome, against Italy's far-right League
  • 4 years ago
A protest by the so-called 'sardine' movement, that opposes Italy's League party, was held in Rome for the first time.

Tens of thousands of people turned out to protest against the far-right party of former Interior Minister Matteo Salvini.

In the video, the crowd sing the anti-fascist song Bella Ciao.

The protest is thought to be the movement's largest gathering so far.
