People of Assam, living in Mumbai, staged a protest against Citizenship Amendment Act on Dec 14. They sat on ‘dharna’ at Azad Maidan. Actor Dipannita Sharma was also present at the protest. President Ram Nath Kovind gave his assent to the Bill on Dec 13. CAA will give Indian citizenship to non-Muslim immigrants who faced persecution in three neighbouring countries.
