Janoris Jenkins Cut by
Giants Over Tweet.
The move comes two days
after Jenkins called a critic
a "retard" on the platform.
Jenkins has since refused to
say he's sorry, adding that the
word is "part of his culture.".
According to Giants management,
his refusal to apologize is what led
to the cornerback being cut.
Obviously, what happened this week, and the refusal to acknowledge the inappropriate and offensive language, was the determining factor, Giants coach Pat Shurmer,
via ESPN.
The day of his release,
the 31-year-old tweeted,
"Best news ever.. Thank you.".
I Just want to thank the organization for the opportunity & good luck to my brothers that remains a Giant! Again, want my fans to know my intentions are always pure and genuine, Janoris Jenkins,
via Twitter.
Jenkins originally signed with
New York back in 2016
for $62.5 million.
The Pro Bowler had one year left
on his contract before
being dismissed
