Latheefa: Old MACC cases to be reopened
Old cold files that MACC are reopening include cases involving figures that were "very influential", its chief commissioner, Latheefa Koya, said this morning, but declined to reveal further in fear of jeopardising investigation.

She said disclosing such information might cause subjects of the MACC probe to "scamper" and possibly lead to the files "going missing".

According to Latheefa, there are many old files that the anti-graft body is going to re-look, a move she is taking after she kept receiving new information and evidence that suggest there were basis in certain old cases, including closed one.
