Myanmar’s leader, Aung San Suu Kyi deflects Rohingya genocide claims

Myanmar’s leader Aung San Suu Kyi has deflected accusations of genocide against her country's Muslim Rohingya minority before the International Court of Justice in The Hague. Speaking before the World Court on December 11, 2019, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate called allegations made in a lawsuit brought by Gambia “misleading and incomplete”, but admitted it was possible that the army could have used excessive force.
