During the discussion on the bill on Monday, the opposition opposed the amendment, calling it anti-constitutional. The Shiv Sena also supported the BJP on the citizenship amendment bill.

नागरिकता संशोधन बिल लोकसभा में पास होने के बाद अब बुधवार को राज्यसभा में पेश किया जाएगा। सोमवार को बिल पर चर्चा के दौरान विपक्ष ने संशोधन को संविधान विरोधी बताते हुए इसका विरोध किया। शिवसेना ने भी नागरिकता संशोधन बिल पर बीजेपी का साथ दिया।
