Schoolboy, 10, shocked after finding a COBRA curled up inside his football boots

A schoolboy in Thailand was shocked to find a COBRA curled up in his football boots as he was preparing for a kickabout with friends.
Suthep Laongkeaw, 10, had been lying on his bed playing with his mobile phone when he felt something slithering on his legs in Chonburi, Thailand last Friday (December 7) night.
He swept it off his body then switched on the light bulb and saw a snake slithering away but he could not find it.
The following morning, Saturday, as the boy was preparing for his weekly football game with friends, he was shocked to find the serpent coiled up inside his green Adidas boot.
Rescue workers were contacted by the boy's mother and they spent 20 minutes catching the 3ft long cobra.
The mother, Supranee, said that she did try to find the snake the night before but there was no sign of it. She said her son was lucky that he checked the shoes before putting them on.
She said: "Last night when my boy felt the snake on his body, the light was out and after we turned it on we could not find it.
"My son was smart enough to check his shoes before wearing them as he could have been bitten by then cobra. That would have been very bad and he could have died. I really didn't expect the snake to hide in the football boots all night.''
The rescue team put the snake in a sack to be released back to the wild. One of the group said the cobra had not been looking for food ''but was just looking for shelter because of the cold weather''.
