While Rani Mukerji made her acting debut with a supporting role in the 1996 Bengali drama 'Biyer Phool' that was directed by her father Ram Mukherjee; she bagged her first lead role in the Hindi film 'Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat', the same year. Two years down the line, she was widely praised for her role alongside Aamir Khan, in the 1998 action film, 'Ghulam'. She, however, won Best Supporting Actress for the role of 'Tina' in 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', the same year - and hasn't looked back, since. Rani Mukerji has played the leading lady opposite some of the biggest male stars in several films, such as 'Hello Brother', 'Saathiya', 'Hum Tum', 'Veer-Zara', 'Black', 'Paheli', 'Bunty Aur Babli' and 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna'.
