Google Launches Interactive Doodle Celebrating Mexican Game Lotería!

On December 9 and 10 the Google Doodle celebrates the iconic Mexican card game, which is described as a traditional game of chance similar to bingo. But the internet search giant is taking it a step further and is making it an interactive multiplayer game, available in 30 countries around the world.
Players will be able to play Lotería! with friends in a private game or with random users in other parts of the world.
When the Google Doodle team was tasked with coming up with possible interactive Doodles, Global Marketing Lead Perla Campos, who played the game with family growing up, immediately thought of Lotería! and how the laughter, excitement and "all the worries of the world melted away as this game brought us together."
"If this simple game was so magical and powerful in its original state, how might that be amplified in the digital space? And so the Lotería Doodle was born," she writes in an essay about the decision to create the Lotería! experience.
