A snorkeler filmed the magical moment he encountered a wild green turtle in the wild in the crystal clear waters of Fitzroy Island, Australia.

The filmer commented online: "Honestly I just got so lucky.

"I just hired snorkel gear out from the hut in Fitzroy.

"[I] swam around for maybe 10 minutes and there he was.

"No other tourists noticed him so he didn't feel crowded.

"[It] just swam with me for 20mins before going deeper."

The footage was captured on November 12.
