Cows in Ayodhya, India to get special winter coats this year

In the city of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, state authorities have decided to buy all cattle coats to protect them from the winter cold in northern India.

The Ayodhya Municipal Corporation will stitch up special coats for cows and bulls in the holy city, starting with 1,200 cattle in the Baishingpur shelter.

The bulls will get a single layer coat, cows will get a two-layer garment and calves will be covered with three-layered thermals.

These coats are being stitched at a price of Rs 250 to Rs 300.
