Two septuagenarian sisters from Tirupur did petty jobs and hoarded money for 10 years, but are bewildered now that their savings, totalling Rs 46,000, are of little use as the government had demonetised Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 currency notes three years ago.
कोयंबटूर के तिरुपुर में 70 पार उम्र की दो बहनों ने छोटे-मोटे काम करके 10 साल तक 46 हजार रुपए जोड़े, ताकि उनकी बीमारी के वक्त काम आ सकें. अब उन रुपयों की जरूरत पड़ी तो पता चला कि वो सारे रुपए तीन साल पहले बैन हो चुके है 500 और 1000 रुपए की करेंसी में हैं.
