An artist created an incredibly detailed cloisonné image on a phone case in southern China's Guangzhou on November 3.

The impressive footage shows the man sticking down gold wires on the edge of the pattern and then filling the colourful glazes into the gaps.

Cloisonne is an ancient technique for decorating metalwork objects, which had spread to China by the 14th century and still remains common. Beijing cloisonné has been listed in the country's national intangible cultural heritage.

According to reports, the artist has more than ten years' experience of the cloisonné technique. The phone case with cloisonne image was sold for 388 yuan (£43).
