Audi to Cut
7,500 Jobs.
The automaker plans to reduce its
global workforce by 10% within
the next six years.
The company said the cuts will be achieved
through retirement and turnover.
Audi will also create 2,000 jobs focused specifically on electric vehicles and new technology.
The changes will allocate roughly
$6.6 billion over 10 years that Audi
will invest in future cars.
Volkswagen, Audi’s parent
company, plans to launch
70 new electric car
models by 2028
