A wild elephant carcass was found in Riau, Indonesia, with its tusks and trunk missing on November 22.

A local medical team blamed ivory poachers for the death of the elephant that was believed to be 40-years-old.

The head of the local medical authority said that the death of the elephant "is still under investigation" and the autopsy results found no bullets or poisons but the head of the elephant was found without tusks or its trunk.

He later added: "This elephant became a victim of poaching."
