Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Huzir Mohamed said police have the right to check phones whose owners are suspected of dubious activities.
He said this in a press conference on Wednesday, following Deputy Home Minister Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman reply in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday.
