Moment Baby Hippo Is Born At Zoo In Thailand

This is the adorable moment a mother hippo gave birth to a baby daughter in her enclosure's pool in Khon Kaen Zoo, northeastern Thailand on Tuesday November 5 afternoon. The mother, Lek, was in labour under a minute before the baby emerged in the water and swam with her mother. Zookeepers prepared a celebratory meal of watermelon, sweetcorn, bananas and tomatoes for the adorable baby hippo birthday and her mother. They named the baby Nam. Thanachon Kenasing, director of the Khon Kaen Zoo, said that it is a pleasure to have the newborn hippo join its collection of animals.
