Tewkesbury town centre was flooded after the River Avon burst its banks, following days of heavy rain in central England.

River levels continue to rise and are expected to peak at over 12 meters above normal river levels late on Saturday afternoon.

Schools, roads and a hospital have been shut in the West Midlands, on account of the flooding.
