Taylor Swift Says Scooter Braun
Won't Let Her Perform Her Music.
On Nov. 14, Swift took to
social media to post a detailed
statement against her ex-label,
Big Machine Records.
According to Swift, her plans to perform a “medley
of [her] hits” at the 2019 American Music Awards was
“flatly denied” by Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta.
“[They] have now said that I’m not allowed to perform my
old songs on television because they claim that would be
re-recording my music before I’m allowed to next year."
Taylor Swift, via Twitter.
Swift also disclosed that the pair “declined”
the use of her older music and performance
footage in a planned Netflix documentary. .
“This is WRONG. Neither of these men had a hand in the writing
of those songs … The message being sent to me is very clear ...
Be a good little girl and shut up. Or you’ll be punished.”

Swift, saying they are “shocked” by her claims. .
"At no point did we say Taylor could not perform
on the AMAs or block her Netflix special … Taylor,
the narrative you have created does not exist …"
