A bird's-eye view of Hong Kong universities turned into fortresses during protests

University campuses across Hong Kong have become the latest flashpoints in civil unrest entering its sixth month in the city.  Following intense stand-offs with police during the week ending November 15, 2019, student protesters have built elaborate defences around universities. The campus blockades have shut down streets, motorways and rail lines – on a scale perhaps best understood from an aerial view.
