Articulated truck topples over after trying to avoid another overtaking truck in Thailand

A truck toppled over after being forced into a ditch by an overtaking truck on the lane next to it.

The driver took evasive action after the vehicle to the left tried to overtake cars on its own lane, forcing the articulated lorry to swerve to the right.

Its wheels slipped into a small grass ditch, causing the wagon to topple over and collide with a smaller pickup truck.

Meanwhile, the driver who appeared to have caused the crash carried on along the road without stopping.

Dashcam footage from last Friday (November 8) afternoon captured the crash in Chumphon province, southern Thailand.

One of the rescuers who helped the driver from the wreckage said that nobody was seriously hurt in the crash.

Motorist Chayanont Nualphrom, who witnessed the incident, said:"The lorry didn't do anything wrong. It was just unlucky that his vehicle slipped into the ditch."

"I want the truck driver who caused this to return and see the damage he caused and show some responsibility.''
