People’s Choice Award to Stan Lee At the 2019 People's Choice Awards,
Robert Downey Jr. took the stage to accept
the award for male movie star of 2019. While accepting the award, Downey Jr.
paid tribute to the "late, great" US comic
book writing legend Stan Lee. Robert Downey Jr.,
via 'Metro' Lee, who died at age 95 in 2018, was
responsible for the creation of many
beloved Marvel characters. This includes the Iron Man character,
