Heartwarming moment kitten is rescued from flooded storm drain after heavy rain

This is the heartwarming moment a stray kitten was rescued after getting trapped in a flooded storm drain.
Residents heard the feline crying for help after heavy rain in Bulacan, the Philippines, on October 30.
Ger Pangilinan said he heard the faint meows and asked his daughter to help find the kitten.
They found the kitten clinging on for its life after getting tangled up in loose branches.
Ger believes the poor kitten must have wandered far from its mother and fell down the steep slopes before getting carried away by the water.
The father-of-one said he took the cat home to clean and feed him.
He said: ''The kitty was not harmed and once he was cleaned, he looked healthy. We named him 'Mingming'."
"My daughter is happy to have a new pet. She has always been kind to animals and will take care of Mingming.''
