More than 60,000 employees of MTNL nad Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, have applied for the voluntary retirement scheme. In which BSNL alone has more than 57,000 employees. Telecom Secretary Anshu Prakash gave this information on Friday. he said that the Department of Telecommunications has opened the option of VRS for the employees. After which a large number of employees have applied for VRS.

सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की दूरसंचार कंपनी भारत संचार निगम लिमिटेड और महानगर टेलीफोन निगम लिमिटेड यानी एमटीएनएल के 60,000 से अधिक कर्मचारियों ने स्वैच्छिक सेवानिवृत्ति योजना के लिये आवेदन किया है. जिसमें अकेले बीएसएनएल के कर्मचारियों की संख्या 57,000 से अधिक है. दूरसंचार सचिव अंशु प्रकाश ने शुक्रवार को यह जानकारी दी. बता दें कि दूरसंचार विभाग ने कर्मचारियों के लिए वीआरएस का विकल्प खोल दिया है. जिसके बाद बड़ी संख्या में कर्मचारियों ने वीआरएस के लिए आवेदन किया है.
